As I age, (now 62) I’ve been surprised how often and easily I can “tweak” something or hurt myself doing familiar activities. With regular visits to Hands On Physical Therapy, I’m able to continue doing the things I love-snow skiing, backpacking, biking and water skiing. They can “put me back together” again! It’s worth every penny!

I have serious scoliosis and had been suffering debilitating pain that was affecting my quality of life. Dan was able to alleviate all pain and return me to full functionality, which surpassed my expectations. I had been to four other PT facilities that failed to have this success. At ‘Hands On’ you are treated one on one for an entire hour instead of just coming in to do exercises. Their approach is truly unique and a contributing factor to their immense success.

I came to Hands on Physical Therapy to help my back and shoulder pain from scoliosis which was identified by the doctor at my high school sports physical. The therapists got me back on the volleyball court with treatments and exercises. I moved from physical therapy to stronger conditioning without medication or invasive procedures. Now I’m playing my game without discomfort and looking forward to a healthy future.

Since starting with HOPT for back and balance issues, I have been very impressed. Their professionalism, knowledge and level of expertise far exceeded any of my previous physical therapy experiences. I would highly recommend them and am very grateful for the skills I gained and all I learned from them.

I have come to Hands On Physical Therapy because of a car accident, balance problems, and most recently because I am going to have back surgery. Laurie and her assistant have helped so much by realigning parts of my body and giving me exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles. They teach and give encouragement in an exceptional way. I think they know more than doctors on how the bones and muscles and all that stuff works. The physical therapy is better than just getting a prescription for pain medication because the cause of the problem is actually addressed. Also, I appreciate their strong faith in God. Hands On Physical Therapy is absolutely WONDERFUL !!!

I was so pleased with my experience working with Hands on Physical Therapy. After my 4 year old broke his leg we were in need of physical therapy to help him be able to walk and run again. I didn’t really know where to start looking, as this was the first time we were in need of physical therapy, but I am so happy I came across Hands on Physical Therapy. My first interaction was with the front office staff; all of these ladies were amazing! They were extremely friendly and very helpful. They answered all my questions and did a wonderful job working with my insurance. As far as the physical therapy service we received, we were so lucky to get to work with Marisa! She is absolutely amazing! I can not say enough good things about her. She has a way of working with children and communicating with parents. From our very first visit, my 4 year old instantly connected with her and she was able to get him on his road to recovery. We had therapy appointments twice a week for six weeks, and with each visit I saw improvement with my son. She did an amazing job explaining to me what she was doing and giving me at home exercises I could do with him in between appointments. I know that working with a 4 year old is definitely different than working with a teenager or adult, but I was so impressed with how she was able to get down on his level and explain things to my son so that he understood what was going on. After 8 weeks of therapy visits, my son is running, jumping, and doing the things that he was doing prior to his broken leg. I am forever grateful for Marisa and her knowledge and service she provided. We will miss going to our therapy appointments each week, but I am so happy that we made a full recovery. I would highly recommend Hands on Physical Therapy if you are seeking treatment. It was a great experience!

I was diagnosed with Sciatica in November at an Urgent Care Clinic, after a pain in my leg escalated into extreme pain, altering my ability to perform simple daily movements; like standing from being seated, getting into and out of my car and other daily activities. I first contacted my Medical Center Primary care provider, and was told that the first opening in their Physical Therapy Department was in late January. Upon the promising recommendation of a friend, who had been treated at HANDS ON PHYSICAL THERAPY, I called and learned that I could be seen within days. I chose to work with my Therapist on an aggressive schedule and was discharged at the end of January. As a result of my diagnosis, I was prescribed with pain relievers and muscle relaxers. After a few visits at HANDS ON PHYSICAL THERAPY, I began to ween myself from the prescribed drugs and had totally stopped taking them by the middle of my therapy. I am totally pain free, and have been provided with a variety of exercises, which address this area. In each of my visits, my therapist took measurements and was as excited as I was with my progress. Every aspect of my therapy was positive, including the office staff, clinic and especially my therapist Dr. Marisa Garcia, DPT.

Over the years I have had problems with my back, neck, shoulders, feet and hands and have used different physical therapy businesses in Albuquerque. I always come back to Hands on Physical Therapy as they have helped me the most with dealing with the pain and providing me with therapy and exercises to help alleviate my pain. Their names says it all Hands On Physical Therapy. Linda takes the time to listen to where my pain is located and through adjustments and exercises the treatments have helped.
